Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator who is responsible for the clinical and operational functions of our emergency department. You will manage activities in the unit in the absence of the Nursing Director, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and supporting a collaborative team environment.
In this role, you will:
- Direct and evaluate nursing care and support the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Coordinate patient placements based on acuity and staff availability.
- Identify and address educational needs within the unit.
- Engage in patient care conferences to address discharge planning.
- Ensure ongoing communication with physicians regarding patient status and care decisions.
- Monitor patient conditions and implement necessary clinical decisions promptly.
- Oversee the implementation of orders, ensuring timely execution.
Job Requirements:
- Current Florida RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida licensing.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
- Preferred 2 years of acute care RN experience.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification required within 30 days of employment.
