Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) who will be responsible for clinical and operational functions of our Neurotrauma ICU. In this pivotal role, you will oversee nursing care during your shift, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and smooth unit operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing unit clinical and operational activities in the absence of the Director.
- Directing and evaluating nursing care following established policies and procedures.
- Overseeing staff roles and coordinating patient placements based on acuity and skill mix.
- Identifying and addressing educational needs of the unit.
- Facilitating care conferences and ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Making informed clinical decisions regarding patient care.
- Ensuring timely execution of physician orders.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
- 2 years of acute care RN experience preferred.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days.
- ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification required within 30 days.
HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care, Level II Trauma Center located in Kissimmee. We collaborate with UCF College of Medicine and offer a range of services from emergency care to specialized maternity, stroke, and cardiac services.
