Position Overview
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will report to the Nursing Director and take charge of clinical and operational functions within the telemetry unit. In the absence of the director, you will manage the unit's activities, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care during your designated shift. You will collaborate closely with the management team to monitor and evaluate nursing practices, serving as a vital resource for staff and exemplifying a commitment to our patient's wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee staff roles, managing patient placements based on acuity and staff availability.
- Identify and address the educational needs of the unit's team.
- Lead patient care conferences to discuss discharge needs and other vital issues.
- Maintain communication with physicians regarding patient conditions and appropriate care orders.
- Keep abreast of patient condition changes and make timely clinical decisions.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation).
- BLS-AHA Provider certification must be acquired within 30 days of start date.
- Preferably 2 years of acute care RN experience.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.
- A Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree is required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification is required within 30 days of starting the role.
