Pure are delighted to be partnering with the UK's leading independent utilities provider with an exciting new opportunity for a Fleet Business Manager to help them reach their mission of 'earning customer loyalty and driving business growth by providing consistently excellent service'. The purpose of your role will be to support the business needs by delivery of the "right vehicle, right time right place" to ensure smooth day to day operations, whilst maintaining an efficient and cost-effective fleet. To lead on fleet customer service working closely with key stakeholders, challenge the status quo and drive through improvements through effective deployment of change. Key responsibilities will include;
  • Proactively deliver on all line management responsibilities, overseeing the Fleet Support team in their day-to-day operations, and enabling them to achieve their objectives, required standards of customer service and meet SLA's.
  • Work in partnership with management teams to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to support improved Fleet and department performance in line with business needs.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of Fleet systems to ensure accuracy of data and reporting, whilst working with a right first-time culture
  • Maintain supplier relations, optimising vehicle availability and managing budgets
  • Partner with senior management to understand and deliver performance insights and key analytics solutions and drive alignment and efficiency.
  • Work with the business to understand driver behaviour and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with suppliers to optimise vehicle availability and maintain supplier relations.
  • Manage budgets for related costs.
  • Produce metrics and analysis to recommend improvements to the group fleet.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are in place, relevant and adhered to.
  • Support the strategy to net Zero for the group fleet.
  • Role model the company values and behaviours.

The ideal applicant for this position will possess the following skills and attributes;
  • Proficient in fleet management, coordination and logistics planning
  • Previous management experience, with a passion for driving performance and developing team members
  • Embraces and promotes continuous process improvements
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a changing workload
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels in the business whilst building solidrelationships
  • Customer focussed, actively embracing and promoting continuous improvement
  • Passionate to coach, drive and engage your colleagues and support them with development
  • Business/Finance management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday.
