Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 AM - 15:30 PM

Prospero Teaching is delighted to be recruiting caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Buddies for a welcoming mainstream primary school in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact in a supportive, child-centred environment.

As a Learning Support Buddy, you'll work alongside pupils in the classroom to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support. You'll help children build confidence, develop independence, and engage positively with their learning.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups to access lessons and activities

• Encouraging social skills, resilience, and self-esteem in a nurturing environment

• Assisting with classroom routines and helping create a calm, structured atmosphere

• Working closely with teachers to deliver inclusive learning opportunities

• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to support pupil development

• Promoting safeguarding and confidentiality at all times

• Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting (primary preferred)

• A genuine passion for helping young learners thrive

• Patience, positivity, and a warm, approachable attitude

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Good literacy, numeracy, and IT abilities

• Free CPD courses including safeguarding and behaviour management

• Ongoing support from our dedicated Training and Development Team
