JOB SUMMARY:
The Logistics & Materials Mgmt Technician is responsible for operational tasks performed in a warehouse or yard environment: issuing, receiving, and counting inventory items, locating/placing items in the appropriate bin/rack locations, and manages material control and security
The incumbent performs operational tasks at the warehouse/yard facilities associated with MRO inventory operations, critical spares, tubulars, and other oilfield materials.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, responsible for ensuring timely materials goods movements, accurate and appropriate storage and movement of products, and inventory accuracy.
Perform cycle counts on monthly basis to ensure accurate inventory records and reconciles differences
Works in conjunction and communicates with logistics providers to arrange collection and shipments of orders
Assists with the preparation and distribution of shipping documentation
Communicates regularly and proactively with internal stakeholders regarding status of shipments
Directly responsible for warehouse management EHS programs, promotes safe working environment, and ensures reporting procedures for incidents are followed
Required to be present at assigned yard or other facilities in the operational area during working hours to support the business and provide oversight of material management activities

SKILLS:
Excellent analytical skills and business acumen
Good organizational skills and ability to work independently within set deadlines
Intermediate computer skills are required and SAP knowledge is preferred
The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are required
Forklift and equipment operation skills preferred
Team player and effective communicator
Ability to speak and write English is required

EDUCATION:
High school diploma required
Associate's degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:
3-4 years of related inventory and material control experience
Experience working within a materials control/warehouse environment
