Your role makes a difference in patient care. We are searching for a driven Registered Nurse RN to join our Emergency Department team.
Position Summary
As an Emergency Room RN, you're expected to be an agile decision-maker and multitasker, easily adapting to the demands of each day. You will care for patients with conditions ranging from minor injuries to critical illnesses in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages.
- Identify anticipated outcomes tailored to each patient case.
- Develop plans with specific strategies to achieve expected outcomes.
- Simultaneously manage multiple patient cases while prioritizing care needs.
- Provide follow-up care instructions and make necessary patient referrals.
- Coordinate tasks with physicians and other hospital departments while maintaining a focus on patient safety and care quality.
Qualifications:
- A valid Florida RN license or an approved multistate RN license is required.
- BLS-AHA Provider issued card must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- Associate Degree or RN experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 6 months.
- TNCC certification needed within 1 year of hire.
- ACLS or ACLS Instructor certification required within 6 months.
- PALS certification to be obtained within 6 months.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
